National Small Print Show

Crow Candy

My linocut print, “Crow Candy” was accepted into the National Small Print Show and is one of 30 to be selected for the travelling exhibit.
The show runs from May 26 – June 29 in the main lobby of the Creede Repertory Theatre in Creede, Colorado. The opening reception will be May 26 from 5:30 to 8:30.
In Evergreen, Co., the show opens on June 29.

Recycled Rain Show

Join me and 10 other watercolor artists who have created original works of art painting with rain or snow!) water. This is one of my paintings and you can see some of the other work at the website listed below. I’m excited!
Opening first Friday, April 6, 6 pm -12 am, the Recycled Rain Project freatures 11 watercolor artists who have created original works using colllected rainwater to help bring awareness of the various water issues facing our world. The show runs through April at the Launch Pad Gallery 534 SE Oak St., Portland, OR 97214, phone 503 427-8704.

Just realized one of my paintings is not on the website. This is a view from my house over some wetlands. At certain times of the year we have many Canadian geese flying thorugh from here to there; there are hundreds that land in the field in front of the wetlands at one time!

I’ve been busy painting for some of the summer shows. Just updated my show listing, but I am hoping to add quite a few more as I hear whether I am in. So check it out. I’m working on some paintings for upcoming shows. My only show in Oregon until fall will be the Mom’s Day Art Show at Oregon State University campus, Corvallis, Oregon. It is near the Quad.

The last show of the season! Handmade in Oregon Holiday Marketplace at the OSU memorial Union, this Friday and Saturday–Dec 3 and 4. (Civil War weekend…should be interesting)

We have cancelled the Salem show the next weekend.

In the meantime, I have been busy busy painting. See the new attached.

Just spent a wonderful week at Ghost Ranch in New Mexico at a pastels course. Ghost Ranch is spectacular (Georgia O’Keeffe lived here for many years) and the class was full of good learning and fascinating women.

Back in Colorado

Just returned to Colorado with 4 feet of snow in front of our cabin. I have been painting both small and large scenes from all over Colorado. And my website has just been updated. This weekend we are at the Denver Gift Show. I am looking forward to getting back to the cabin and settling down for some more serious painting. And watching as the snow melts and the river reappears.
